Summary

Reedle-eeRootle-eeVroom-pety BANG!Young Farkle McBride is a musical genius: He plays the violin, the flute, the trombone, and the drums with incredible skill. But he's never satisfied: Something is missing. In his first book, actor and musician John Lithgow introduces a memorable character, a fickle yet lovable child prodigy who brings the sounds and rhythms of an orchestra to sprawling visual life. With a double gatefold showing the entire orchestra, this is the ultimate book for the music lover in all of us.Deedle-eeDoodle-eeDoom-pety CLANG!

Author Biography

John Lithgow is an award-winning actor, best known for the role of High Commander Dick Solomon in the long-running NBC comedy series 3rd Rock from the Sun. Although The Remarkable Farkle McBride is his first book for children, he frequently sings for kids in live concerts and on his recent CD Singin' in the Bathtub on The Sony Wonder Label.

Unlike Farkle, Mr. Lithgow is no musical genius. But like Farkle, he loves the sound of musicians playing together, he is always willing to try something new, and he is rarely satisfied. Yet he has come to realize that dissatisfaction is not necessarily a bad thing. After all, if he'd been completely satisfied with just being an actor, he never would have written The Remarkable Farkle McBride!
