Author Biography

William H. Reid, M.D., M.P.H., is Medical Director, Texas Dept. of Mental Health and Mental Retardation; Professor of Psychiatry, Liaison for Mental Health and Mental Retardation Affairs, The University of Texas System; and Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry, Texas A and M College of Medicine. In addition to serving on the editorial boards of five professional journals, Dr. Reid has authored or edited ten books and several monographs and has written numerous papers, articles, and book chapters. Michael G. Wise, M.D., F.A.C.P., is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Louisiana State University School of Medicine and Tulane School of Medicine, New Orleans, and Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Wise is a reviewer for numerous journals, is a member of several editorial boards, and is widely published in books and professional journals.
