Summary
Author Biography
Dr Yaver Bashir is a consultant cardiologist with a special interest in all aspects of cardiac arrhythmia management, including diagnostic electrophysiology, catheter ablation and pacing/ICDs. He is active in research and teaching, and has published approximately 60 papers in peer-review journals on all aspects of cardiology, particularly arrhythmias. He is a reviewer for Heart, European Heart Journal and Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr Timothy Betts qualified from Birmingham, UK in 1991 before training in cardiology in Wessex (Southampton, Bournemouth, Bath and Swindon). He completed a fellowship at Northwestern Memorial and the Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago, USA, and was awarded a MD thesis by Southampton University in 2003. He has been a consultant at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford since May 2004. Dr Kim Rajappan is a consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. He completed his general cardiology training and subspecialty training in cardiac electrophysiology and device therapy in London, predominantly at the Hammersmith Hospital and St. Bartholomew's Hospital. His research and clinical interests include all aspects of arrhythmia patient management, particularly catheter ablation of complex cardiac arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia.
